I don’t believe in relationship rules or agreements, is this game for me?
Yes! Even if your goal is not to create agreements, this game will help you have clear, open lines of communication with your partners. This supports relationship safety and integrity regardless of how you feel about having specific relationship agreements. We have developed this game with agency, individuality and creativity in mind.
My partner and I have been monogamous and are contemplating opening our relationship but unsure if we want to take that step. Is this game appropriate for us?
The Non Monogamy Card Game is a great place for the two of you to start. We designed and tested these questions with folks from all walks of life and relationship experience, including currently monogamous couples. Our Foundations Deck allows each of you to think through what matters most to you personally so that you can have productive conversations about whether non monogamy is for you, and what actually practicing non monogamy might entail. There is no expectation of outcome in this game. Whether your goal is just to explore being "monogam-ish" or more, the Foundations Deck will help you explore what feels both safe and exciting to you. We cover all the bases!
We have been practicing polyamory in our polycule for years, will this game offer us anything new?
Yes! Clarify where you stand in our Foundations Deck then use our Deep Dive Deck. Longer term practicing polycules or non monogamous couples are invited to create or revisit topics and agreements. Many long-time non monogamous and polyamorous folks have given us feedback that the game brought up important conversations they had never before had with some of their partners.
